Plug in a USB barcode scanner and it works immediately — scanned codes land straight in the sale screen, no setup or drivers needed.
Windows: Unsigned — Windows may show a SmartScreen warning. Click "More info → Run anyway". · macOS: Unsigned — macOS will say the app "cannot be opened". Right-click the app → Open → Open, or go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click "Open Anyway". · Linux: Needs a couple of terminal commands first — see the Linux setup steps below.
Linux setup
The download is an .AppImage — there's nothing to install, but it needs to be marked executable before it will run, and newer distros (Ubuntu 22.04+, Fedora, etc.) usually needlibfuse2 installed first, since it's no longer included by default.
1. Open a terminal in your Downloads folder and make it executable
chmod +x InventoryLink-Setup-Linux.AppImage2. Run it directly — no installer step needed
./InventoryLink-Setup-Linux.AppImage3. If it doesn't launch, or you see a "FUSE" error, install libfuse2 and try again
sudo apt update
sudo apt install libfuse2On Fedora/RHEL-based distros, use sudo dnf install fuse instead. If you'd rather skip FUSE entirely, you can also extract and run the AppImage directly:

./squashfs-root/AppRunWant it in your applications menu instead of running from Downloads every time? Move the file somewhere permanent (e.g. ~/Applications) and use a tool like AppImageLauncher to integrate it — it'll add a proper menu entry and icon automatically the first time you run it.
